Within Hololight Space, users operate in their own workspace. In each world space there is an Origin, according to which the loaded 3D objects align.
Especially during Multi-User sessions, it is essential that the Origin is adjusted for all users. To do this, all participants in the meeting follow the steps described below.
Align Space with QR Code
Please be aware that scanning QR codes in Hololight Space for Meta Quest 2 is not supported due to technical limitations.
The "Align Space with QR Code" functionality can be accessed from the "Quick-Tools" menu (provided that the functionality is present in it). Using the "Quick-Tools Hand Menu" settings, you can set whether this functionality is displayed or not.
For this functionality, any generic QR code can be used, as long as it has a minimum size of 6cm x 6cm.
Once this functionality is triggered, you will be prompted to scan a QR code. Follow this prompt and a new window will pop up once the process is complete. The options provided are "Confirm", "Apply Only to App Origin" and "Cancel".
When the Origin has been repositioned successfully, the coordinate system including the orientation of the space is now located above the scanned QR code.
Apply
When this option is chosen, the space Origin will be relocated and all objects currently loaded in your workspace will be shifting in relation to the new space Origin.
Apply Only to App Origin
When this option is chosen, only the space Origin will be relocated and all objects currently loaded in your work space will remain in place.
Cancel
The "Cancel" option can be used to cancel the process.
Manually Align Space
The "Manually Align Space" functionality can be accessed from the "Quick-Tools" menu (provided that the functionality is present in it). Using the "Quick-Tools Hand Menu" settings, you can set whether this functionality is displayed or not.
Once this functionality is triggered, a coordinate system will appear in your world space that you can move either by Near or Far interaction. Position it on the desired location for the world space as well as rotate it for the desired orientation and press the button with the checkmark on it to confirm. Follow this prompt and a new window will pop up once the process is complete. The options provided are "Apply", "Apply Only to App Origin" and "Cancel".
If the button with the cross is pressed instead, the action will be canceled.
